#6months . The Interlocking Disc was the first develepmental toy I bought for Kevin from @arirotoys . It is made of "organic and naturally processed neem wood which makes it antibacterial and antifungal". This is great for someone like me who HATES disinfecting the toys every day.
These days K's interest in the discs has rekindled which gave me the perfect opportunity to observe those tiny hands work in there own air of perfection. .
Gross motor: The disc rolls in an interesting smooth wobbly fashion when placed on floor. This is very lucrative for the baby reach out and creep/crawl, thus, encouraging movement.
Fine motor: [Swipe right to see a clip.] Makes a good grasping toy for younger babies.
Later on, it becomes a great toy to build stronger fine motor skills, like,
Hand to hand transference.
Coordinated movements at the wrist joint.
Hand and mouth coordination.
Hand and eye coordination.
The two discs fit like a puzzle. I am yet to see how Kevin's learns to attach and detach them.
Sized perfectly for such small hands.
Montessori aligned.
Works wonderfully as a teether.
Kevin loves it and enjoys long free play periods with it.
❤️ Worth it! I recommend the moms with younger babies to also go for it!
